Are the treatments safe for my family and pests?

PrimeClean Pest Control makes every effort to provide a great service with a high amount of safety. The preparations used are of a low toxicity to humans and pets. We ask that any food or water that is on the ground for pets be lifted or covered. You do not have to leave your house while the treatment takes place.

Our formulations can be used safely in your home as we use the same formulations in childcare centres, nursing homes and hospitals.

How do I prepare for a pest control service?

Depending on the pest population and pest type, there is a few things you can do to help make the treatment more effective. If you have tiled or wooden floors, you can mop before the treatment. This will allow the preparation to easily bond and provide long term residual control. Mopping after the treatment should only occur once the preparation is dry, and has bonded to the surface. If you are having a flea treatment, you should consider having your carpets cleaned beforehand. This removes eggs from the carpet, resulting in a faster, more effective treatment.

Do I have to empty cupboards?

You don’t need to empty your cupboards for a general pest treatment. With a range of gels and sprays, we can safely get into those areas and provide a treatment. If your infestation is severe, emptying the cupboards allows us to be even more thorough, and gives you opportunity to clean some of the things out that are assisting the pest in breeding.

I still see pests in my house after the treatment?

After the treatment, some of the pests will die immediately and other may hide or run away. But at the end all of the pests have to die but it may take two to four weeks. But by every passing hour, you will notice decrease in number of pests and ultimate they will all die.

How long does the treatment take?

This is highly dependent on the size of the property being treated, but usually a general pest treatment may take one and half hours to two hours, with a rodent treatment taking about 45 minutes. A more specific time can be provided upon making a booking.

What if it rains on the day of the treatment?

If the weather is not permitting on the day of the treatment, you will receive a phone call from our office before the scheduled appointment time and the treatment will be rescheduled.

How often I should have my home treated?

We recommend that you have your home treated for cockroaches, ants and spiders every 12 months in order to keep your property safe. Some customers choose to have a treatment every 6 months to ensure complete protection.

Would the bait used for rats and mice affects my pets or children?
